| Mrs. Danzel (1st Grade Teacher) and Mrs. Litwinczuk LMS, collaborated on a 1st grade lesson comparing, contrasting and describing books by the same author.
In the Media Center, students were introduced to multiple books written by the same author. Students then selected a variety of books by the same author. With Mrs. Danzl, they narrowed their selection to two books by the same author. Each student drew a picture and wrote a summary of each story. The pictures were scanned and uploaded into Voicethread.com. With the help of parent volunteers in the Media Center, the student's voice was recorded as their read their book summaries into Voicthread.com.
