• Weaver Lake receives 2009 Magnet School of Excellence Award!

• Mary Moran, 6th grade teacher at Weaver Lake was named TIES Exceptional Teacher by our superintendent and will be recognized at TIES 2008 Education Technology Conference on December 9th. TIES Exceptional Teacher award was established to recognize teachers in TIES member districts who model the best practices in using technology in their classroom and engaging students in learning.

2007-08 

• Edgewood Elementary: A Science, Math & Technology School has been named a finalist for the Intel School of Distinction award.  In recognition of our success as a finalist we will receive $2,500. 
• Edgewood students selected to participate in Megaconference Jr, an annual world-wide video conference event (Feb 08)
• Edgewood Elementary receives 2008 Merit Award for Magnet School of Excellence!!
• For the third year in a row, Best Buy selects Edgewood for a $2,000 Teach Award to support our ELL program (Feb 2008)
• Edgewood's Weatherbug station makes the news - Sun Post.
• Edgewood hosts a visit by the MN Senate Education Committee  to learn about ISD 279’s programs and needs. See it on Channel 12. (Jan 08)
