Map of Rice Lake
Students in our fourth grade program will participate in a yearlong study of our lake and the surrounding environment.  Each month students will study a different aspect of the lake including, the water temperature and PH, the flora and fauna of the area and the quality of the water.  As a part of this project Students will participate in an international micro and macroinvertebrate study through the Stevens Institute of Technology.

Students will use a variety of hands-on methods and scientific tools during their lake study including:

  • Binoculars
