The Insomniacs four team membersNine teams of middle, elementary and senior high students from Osseo Area Schools will put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test at the Minnesota Destination Imagination (DI) State Tournament on March 23 in Brooklyn Park.

Aside from medals and bragging rights, these 47 students are also vying for spots at the DI Global Finals, held May 22-25 in Kansas City, Missouri. The state's top three finishers in each category at the elementary, middle and secondary levels will earn the right to compete against teams from around the world in Kansas City.

Destination Imagination is a creative problem-solving challenge competition that seeks to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. Challenges incorporate STEM, improvisation, performing arts and visual arts skills; each challenge is open-ended and enables teams to learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation.
