Special education includes a wide array of programs and services designed to meet the needs of learners with disabilities. Special education and support services are available to learners, ages birth to 21, who have not graduated and who have been identified as needing specialized instructional services.
Programs and services include:
- Early Childhood Special Education
- K-12 Resource Special Education
- K-12 Center-based programs:
- Connect serves students with autism and communication and interaction disorders
- Skills serves students with developmental cognitive delays
- Strategies serves students with emotional/behavioral disorders
- ACHIEVE serves students who have significant emotional and behavioral challenges and require special education services in a separate site
- Osseo Secondary Transition Center serves students who need assistance in making the transition from school to life in the community
- Community-Based Vocational Assessment and Training Program (CBVAT)
- Low Incidence – District 287

- Occupational Therapy
- Physical Therapy
- School Psychology
- Social Work
- Speech and Language Pathology

Osseo Area Source of Information and Support (OASIS)
OASIS is an information and support program for parents of children with various diagnoses and disabilities, and other learning and behavior differences. The group is open to all parents, caregivers, and staff.

Remember, this is an opportunity for educators to gain access to FREE CEU’s! These trainings are provided in conjunction with District 279 and Prairie Care.
